Women's Hair Loss

Generally it is supposed that due to aging, illnesses or the hormonal changes that occur after menopause, one in each five women may experience a portion of hairloss. This generally happens as a widespread thinning and sparsing  allover the hair with women, while the hair thins out on specific areas of the head with men. Women can use wigs or “saç kaynaklarý” to cope with this problem. Sometimes they may benefit from some ointments and medicines applied on the scalp. Efficiency of these ointments and medicines may vary, depending on the individuals, and generally they prevent the existent hair from being shed more than causing new hair to grow. Hair replacement cures may be considered for the individuals who did not benefit from any of these cures or who are not satisfied with these methods.
If you are considering hair replacement, it is important for you to understand that your hair density would never be like it was before the hairloss.
Hairloss with women is not easily detectable as it is with men, since  the reason for hairloss with women is Androgenetic Alopecia 80% while this rate is 95% with men. So women with this kind of problem must seek professional help from an experienced and educated hair restoration doctor.

Androgenetic Alopecia with female cases (Genetical Hairloss), occurs in 3 different ways as shown in the classification below:
Grade I: Thinning in the hair strands on the central area, upper part of the head.
Grade II: Thinning in the hair strands in wider scales and partially hairloss on the central area, upper part of the head

Grade III: Hairloss in wider scales on the central area, upper part of the head, expanding of this area forwards or backwards and frontal hairline losses.

Lack of iron is seen with a 70% of the women complaining from diffuse hairloss. And an 18% has iron lack anemia* which needs to be cured. In the cases of iron lacking stored iron and tissue iron lessens before anemia occurs. Some researchers claim, that hairloss is the earliest symptom of anemia and occurs before apparent anemia.
Some of the reasons for hairloss with women except Androgenetic Alopecia and anemia are;

-Trichotillomania,

-Alopecia Areata,

-Hairlosses occurring on the scar areas due to reasons such as accidents, surgical operations in the past, chemical burns, etc.

-Medicines (such as contraceptive pills, beta blockers, steroids, heparin, coumadin, some antidepressants)
